At Hamburg Institut, Max-Julian Gerlach supports companies, local authorities and administrations on their way to a sustainable heat supply and climate neutrality. He focuses on the modelling and optimisation of energy systems, the creation of action plans and greenhouse gas accounting.
Professional experience & qualification
During his Master’s degree in Sustainable Energy Planning and Management in Denmark, the engineer already worked as a student trainee at Hamburg Institut. He also gained practical experience in the Climate Sector Project of the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ), at BBH-Consulting, at the Institute for Ecological Economy Research (IÖW) and in the Environment and Construction Unit of the Permanent Representation of Germany to the EU in Brussels.
