Jannika Eileen Schoon works as a consultant lawyer at Hamburg Institut, specialising in energy. She is responsible for the legal aspects of the consulting and research projects for our clients and customers. The fully qualified lawyer prepares expert opinions, drafts municipal statutes and legislative ordinances and analyses relevant national and European law. She also drafts proposals for the optimal further development of the legal framework. Always with the aim of accelerating the energy transition.
Professional experience & qualification
Since completing her LL.M. in European Law at the University of Edinburgh, Jannika Eileen Schoon has been working on the framework conditions for the transformation towards a climate-neutral society. She wrote her master’s thesis on climate change lawsuits in various European countries. Before joining Hamburg Institut, Jannika Eileen Schoon had already worked as a research assistant at several law firms and completed her legal clerkship at the Higher Regional Court of Celle. She dealt in particular with climate, environmental and planning law issues, was involved in environmental legislation at the European and national level, gained experience in public and private construction law as well as insights into energy law.
