Thies Paulsen supports Hamburg Institut particularly in the areas of heat planning and energy system modelling and analysis. At the same time, he is studying industrial engineering at the University of Hamburg, specialising in energy and information technology.
Professional experience & qualification
During his bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Thies Paulsen worked as a student trainee at LESER GmbH & Co. KG, including in technical sales and the design of safety valves for industrial applications. As part of his bachelor’s thesis, he analysed the interaction of smart grid components to increase grid stability.
